10 Beauty Products 90's-00's Girls Couldn't Live Without!
If you’ve followed me or my brand long enough, you know I am a huge lover of all things 90’s and 2000’s! Britney Spears & Spice Girls, Michael Jordan & the Tune Squad, Backstreet Boys & *NSYNC, butterfly clips & scrunchies… the nostalgia is REAL! I draw a lot of my inspiration from this era, especially because I feel like beauty played such a huge role in personal expression. I thought, what a fun way to pay tribute to this legendary time period than by sharing my top 10 favorite 90’s and 00’s beauty products! Enjoy!
Body Glitter
My FAVORITE beauty trend possibly of all time. How much fun was this?! Your arms & neck boldly shimmering. I even remember putting body glitter on my belly before heading out to a middle school dance… Who was going to see it!? NO ONE! But hell, I felt like a million bucks walking out the door & probably had the courage to talk to a cute boy that night because, although he didn’t know… I KNEW I had my body glitter on. What confidence!! This is the definition of a beauty product in my eyes.

2. Juicy Tubes
These were super fun and sort of a “grown up” version of Lip Smackers. They have different “flavors” & colors… so you sort of had to have a favorite and stick to it. A signature gloss if you will!
Guilty: High school girls everywhere
3. Maybelline Great Lash
It’s like there were no other mascaras on the market because everyone used this! Once we realized it came in EXTRA BLACK, we definitely weren’t looking at any other options. Still a solid staple in my eyes!
Guilty: Women everywhere… for 40 years! Now that’s iconic!
4. Tommy Girl
The IT fragrance, am I right?! Tommy Hilfiger was all the rage. But as a young dainty tween, you opted for Tommy Girl.. including the fragrance. My friend shared her top secret tip with me during this time… spritz the perfume under your hair so when you flip your hair, boys will smell it. I have to admit… I still do this!
Guilty: Destiny’s Child, Aaliyah, Gwen Stefani
5. St Ives Apricot Scrub
A classic. I recently purchased this to revisit the big hype over this product. Well, it feels good.. Until it doesn’t. Drying our poor youthful skin out with this product was definitely not the highlight of our generation. If you’ve never grown out of this product, I’m calling you out now! Time to upgrade!
Guilty: Might as well admit it… all of us!
6. MAC Clear Gloss
I mean, this was honestly the stickiest thing I ever have come into contact with. Not just in makeup, in life… you could probably use it in place of Crazy Glue. But no, it was high shine and a MUST-HAVE for your lips.
Guilty: Missy Elliot
7. Noxzema
I don’t know about you, but Noxzema was what my mom used so this was truly the holy grail of ADULT SKINCARE. Washing off my body glitter and black eyeliner, I swore after my Noxzema wash I was ready for life’s biggest events.. like prom.
Guilty: Rebecca Gayheart (yes, the girl from the commercial)
8. Frosty Eyeshadow
Before the matte trends and unlike the “glow” we know today, this was pure shine that reflected in all forms of light. Applied on lid, and especially as “highlight” under those thin brows we all had!
Guilty: Paris Hilton, Christina Aguilera
9. Black Eyeliner
For whatever reason, it was VERY cool to line your entire eye with BLACK eyeliner. Waterline and all. I mean, really full circle. Even if you had no other makeup, don’t let someone see you without your black liner!
Guilty: Lindsay Lohan, Avril Lavigne
10. Caboodle
This held your beloved makeup and skincare… the MAC eyeshadow you begged your mom for, the drug store foundation that was just a little too dark for your skin, and all 101 of your lip smackers flavors. AND of course, it reflected your personality with it’s color and a place to stick those Spice Girl lollipop stickers!
Guilty: Every girl from the 80’s through the 00’s!
