Disney World Survival Kit: My Must-Haves for Trips to the Park

If you’ve ever visited Disney World Orlando, you know the days can be long and exhausting! Now clearly, it’s all worth it for the “happiest place on earth,” but that doesn’t mean your body won’t be feeling it later!! I make it a point to visit the Disney Parks a couple times a year, so I’ve learned some must-have essentials I always pack with me before entering the parks.

If you’ve read this blog post, you know that my normal Disney trips may seem a little like a theme park bootcamp… long days, Florida heat, hours on your feet… you’ll want to have these on your side! Check them all out here!

Disney World Must-Haves

Fanny Pack

If I bring a big bag, I’ll fill it which means that much more to carry on my back for all those hours in the sun… no thanks! My fanny pack is easy to wear, doesn’t hurt my back or shoulders AND is big enough to fit essentials.

Water Bottle

Water Bottle

Disney allows you to bring in an empty water bottle to utilize in the parks. I prefer to keep things as light as possible, so I typically purchase a bottle of water in the park and refill it whenever I pass a water fountain and can toss it when I’m ready. But if you choose to bring one in, you know you’re going to stay hydrated and you can also use a hook to attach to your pack so you can be hands free all day long.

Portable Phone Charger

You don’t want to miss a photo op because your phone is dead! You’ll also need the Disney app to navigate the parks and reservations, so it’s crucial you have access to this. Luckily these are pretty small and easy to throw in your fanny pack!

Brooks or Nike Tanjun

The Right Shoes

I seriously cannot stress this enough… you don’t want painful feet or blisters to slow you down. Some of my favorite shoes to wear around Disney are Brooks or Nike Tanjun, but it really depends on the person, so make sure you think ahead of time on this! And bring a few options in your suitcase when packing in case one pair doesn’t end up being as comfortable as you thought.

Workout Pants

Workout Pants

I always bring a pair of workout leggings with compression to wear on day 2 or 3 when I’m feeling a little tired or sore. I prefer Fabletics! The compression helps blood flow, swelling & achy muscles.

It’s also important to note that there is a First Aid located in each of the Disney World parks. So if you’re not feeling well or need over-the-counter medications or bandages, they are there for you! Additionally, feminine care can be purchased at the front of the park and are usually found for sale in the bathrooms.

Save this Disney World Checklist to your phone or on Pinterest for easy access when you’re packing for your next Disney trip!
