Bronzer Do's & Don't's
Bronzer Don’ts
Don’t apply bronzer ALL over the face! It should be applied to contour the face to impart a subtle hint of color and glow- not to appear tan. This will ensure your face still matches your neck and body!
Be careful not to overdo it! It should be used to warm up the skin and put color back into the face after foundation and concealer. Too much will look unnatural.. and we definitely don’t want that!
Don’t apply harsh lines for contouring! Make sure the bronzer blends into the rest of the face. You shouldn’t have harsh lines on the cheeks or forehead.. keep it soft & blurred!
Don’t use a bronzer with glitter or shine! This can always be added in (and better controlled) with a highlighting product.
Bronzer Do’s
Do choose a color that’s right for you! Your bronzer should be darker than your skin but not unnatural. Sometimes it’s best to try it on… as always, judging a product in it’s package can be deceiving!
Do choose a bronzer with more natural undertones. You’ll want to stay away from unnatural, orangey tones!
Do use a fluffy angled or tapered brush for precise yet blendable application (my recommendations are below!)
Do choose a bronzer that is matte so there is not shine all over the skin! As I mentioned previously, you can add in glow with a highlighter instead.
Do apply under the cheekbone for definition (contour)… don’t forget to blend into the hairline and under the jawline as well!
Do pair with the perfect blush & highlighter for a sunkissed look! I’ve added my favorites below!
