How to: Remove your Makeup
Are you removing your makeup every night? Don't skip this important step in your skincare routine! Today I’m sharing how you can completely and safely remove all of your makeup with just two products.
Step 1: Remove Eye Makeup
Let’s start with the eyes! For non-waterproof eye makeup, I recommend using a water cleanser like Bioderma, or any of the drugstore dupes that are out there. This one can be used to remove the rest of your face makeup as well. For waterproof mascara and eyeliner, you’ll want to use more of a heavy duty eye makeup remover. I recommend the Neutrogena Oil-Free Makeup remover, or any of its drugstore dupes! It’s gentle and meant to break down waterproof makeup.
Saturate a tissue or cotton round and press into the skin to remove the products without pulling the skin. You can even go back in with a q-tip to make sure you’ve gotten all of it off.
Step 2: Cleanse
Once you’re sure you’ve completely removed your eye makeup, use your everyday cleanser to wash your entire face and get rid of any reside that’s left over from Step 1!
That’s it! It’s a quick, simple process that will make a huge difference in your skincare routine and the condition of your skin.
